Hours Calculator
Enter a start and end time to get the hours between them, in hours and minutes and as decimal hours. Shifts that pass midnight are handled automatically.
How the hours calculator works
Hours = end time − start time − breaks. If the end time is earlier than the start time, the shift is treated as ending the next day.
Decimal hours = minutes ÷ 60. 7 h 15 min = 7.25 hours, which is how most payroll systems want it.
